Using this site
The topics in the curriculum have been separated into First and Second year topics. The First year covers all the work that is currently examined in the AS exam. The second year covers the topics in addition to this for the full A-Level.
A second year student needs to be familiar will both.
Most of the content is suitable for all exam boards, but there are subtle and important differences between them and it is important that you know the requirements of your own board.
Each topic has been built in 3 sections: WHAT, PRACTICE and HELP. Click on the relevant heading to open the section you want.
What
What you need to know
An overview of what it is necessary to know in this topic. The order of topics may not match the order you will be learning them in.
Practice
Great Questions to work on
We know how difficult it is to find the right type of questions.
All the questions that we have collected for you, are good quality, appropriate for the current spec and, most importantly, have answers easily available so you can CHECK your work.
Some answers are collected in the same document as the questions, others have a separate solutions link.
Help
Great resources to get help
There are many sites available to help you with your Maths, some good, some not so good.
Often it is difficult to find the content that is specific to particular problem that you have.
These resources have collected together to help solve that problem. They have all been checked and we believe that they are the best support you can get online for each topic.
Thanks to the many sites who have kindly allowed me to link to their content including TLMaths, A-Level Maths Revision, MathsGenie, CorbettMaths and Madas Maths.
These sites are mainly free and are constantly evolving. We can't promise that all the methods they use will be exactly the same as you see in class, but the content in all of these sites is almost all brilliant. We are linking to specific bits of the sites, but feel free to look around all of them for particular help.
